Communication is the key to all successful relationships. Ask any long term couple that is happily in love and they will agree.
A couple must share all that is happening in each others lives. No secrets. No moping around, while your partner has no idea what you are moping about!
We cannot read your mind. If you do not share we cannot help. This goes both ways. Both men and women cannot read minds.
You must trust and believe in each other enough to confide in one another about what is going on in the present. Whether it be a situation like "damn my stupidity just got me a speeding ticket, court date & license taken away" or money issues like "oh'shit... I just spent our last $50 on a bet" please do share. We promise not to kick your ass too severly.
One secret just leads to another. Next thing you know you are keeping secrets about important stuff like health issues. Never let it get to that point.
Most times it's not as bad as it may seem and always remember that things can always be worse.
Give your partner a chance to also deal and help solve the problem. It's not fair to them to not know the truth or severity of things. Again, no one can read anyone else's mind. So you are the key to communication.
Relationships will only survive the test of time when based on love, trust and communication. So start talking!
