No Rush

As a single person in the dating world, I know that you will get to that point where you feel that all the good ones are taken. This is not the case. Even though you might have "one of those days" in which ten weirdos hit on you, and you wonder what's wrong with you. A better question would be where are you hanging out? Don't go hang out at Losers Lounge and then wonder why only losers want to chat with you.


The truth is they, who ever they may be, are not taken, there are plenty of men and women out there that are available and date worthy . Maybe we just need to really figure out what we want first. Ease up on the physical attributes because maybe your dream guy isn't going to be 6'2 with green eyes or your dream girl a former Victoria's Secret model. Maybe... they're just your average Joe, but he or she will fall madly in love with you for who you are and vice versa.  Sounds like a happy ending to me.


There is no rush, do a little traveling, focus on you right now. Love will find you when you least expect it, it's true I swear! Let the one that was meant to be yours come find you because he or she was intrigued by how you're living your life, and holding your own, not because you're staring at him/her so damn intently from across the room... that he/she is coming over to ask you to please stop!


Dating isn't a game. It's a part of life. So stop hunting like you're a wild beast searching for its prey! Don't be afraid to be alone, even if this is the first time you've been alone in many, many years. Who would want to stand by your side if you haven't even figured out how to stand on your own? Instead, embrace your freedom and go enjoy life, because men and women come and go, but you will always be the only one staring back at you, every morning in the mirror.
