One thing I've learned since I've been dating again, is that I'm not going to find a good man, or any man for that matter... while sitting in my living room. You have to "Get Out There". Unless, of course I plan on dating the mailman, or UPS guy (which I did check out by the way, and I can tell you, that my UPS guy is kind of hot).
Anyway, if you've gone through all the stages of reentering the dating world and you now feel ready, then let's do this. BUT... please make sure you are ready. Make sure you're done with the crying stage, the angry stage, and the crazy stage. Nobody wants to date any of those girls.
I have come across women that tell me they are looking for a man, yet they are at home, sitting on the couch watching TV! So lets put the remotes down sisters... time to shave those legs and get back in the game.
Start small, hang out with your girls, go to dinner with a friend, anywhere you are invited to go... Just Go! Don't be shy, do mingle and meet new people. So please remember, no matter where you go, be friendly and look good. You never know when you'll run into Mr. Right or Mr. Wrong, it might even be at Target! I learned that lesson the hard way, but that's a whole other misadventure we won't discuss right now.
Living in Chicago, there are no excuses, the options are endless for restaurants, theaters, museums, cultural events and festivals throughout the year, most of which are free! So... "Get Out There" ladies. Have a plan, chose to check out a new restaurant or lounge per week. Smile, be friendly, look fabulous and create your own misadventures.
